Right about now, students and parents and teachers are getting ready to start the new school year. It's an exciting time of the year for everyone; a time to start fresh, to grow a little more, and to learn more about ourselves and the world around us.
The new school year will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd. Many of us will busy ourselves preparing for the new year by getting school supplies ready. Be sure to check with teachers to see what students are expected to bring to class, and to find out what the homework expectations will be. Many teachers will send home a letter that explains this, but if one doesn't come home, don't hesitate to call.
Every year, Morning Glory has a great many clubs, committees, and sports teams for students to take part in. The beginning of the year is also a time for students to think about which ones they would like to take part in. Students should listen closely to the announcements, and check with teachers who have organized these events in the past.
